Stay on your toes because another year of fabulous classes is starting at Shooting Star!
Join us for our 10th fantastic year of great dancing and even greater memories in our studio. Dancers will leap, twirl, and dazzle through the year while learning skills that will enhance coordination, flexibility, and strength. And the best part? There is something for everyone – ages 2 and up!
This year we are offering 3 different ways to dance:
Take a one time class! We have pop up and drop ins for both ages 2-5 and adults. Please see: Pop Up Classes
Take a 10 week session. Is this one of your child’s many activities? We are offering 10 week sessions for ages 2, 3-5 and 6-9 year olds. Get your dance fix without a ton of commitment. Please see: https://shootingstardancenj.com/10-week-sessions/
Join us for the year. We will have classes for a monthly fee for ages 3-adult along with 2 shows. Our winter show (for grades 1-12) takes place in November and our Spring recital (for ages 3- adult) takes place in June. Please See Below
Things to note for our year:
- Our season starts September 14, 2024. We will take registration until classes are full or end of December whatever comes first.
- Class is one time a week – you pick a weekday or Saturday.
- There is a $45 fee when registering. This will pay for your uniform.
- Payments are made monthly from September (or the month of registration) through June.
- There are no refunds or credits for any reason.
- Notice must be given by email by the end of the month to stop class or you will be expected to pay the next month. Performance fees are non refundable if you do not finish the season.

- The Calendar is set for a 34 class year (which tuition is based around). We close for Thanksgiving (1 week), Winter break (2 weeks), Spring Break (1 week), and the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Each day of class has 1 emergency day built-in in case of an unplanned closing. This week is not charged for and if we do not use it you get an extra class. In the case of Saturdays if the emergency day is not used we will close the day before Easter.
Performance Package Includes:
- Costume and accessories for Spring Recital
- 4 tickets to the Spring Recital (per family)
- Performer’s Recital Shirt
- Professional video of the Spring Show
For grades 1-12 performance package also includes:
- costume rental for the winter show
- 4 tickets to the winter show
Anything not included in the performance package except shoes and uniform (uniform is paid for at the time of registration, shoes we will direct you on what you needed) is optional. Pictures, events and spirit wear fall into this category,
